Title: "Lilith"Artist: John CollierHere is a print of "Lilith" in Hebrew Myth, the first woman and wife of Adam. She is nude in this dark painting, standing in the grass with her feet together, holding a python of a snake which is wrapped around her ankles, midsection, and up to her neck. Her long golden hair is wavy and hanging down the length of her back. Her head is tilted to the side, somewhat cradling the serpant in her neck. The background, and overall coloring for the print is dark, while the woman's skin and hair are the only source of lighter color in the painting.
